Proven adult dogs can be anywhere from $2500 on up, the sky is the limit!Oh yes, you can find so called Fila pups for as little as $400 US...but buyer beware! This is not a breed you want to get into with a puppy from someone who is trying to recoup their initial investment quickly or get rid of the results of an unfortunate "accident".As this breed becomes better known more and more backyard breeders are producing puppies from poor or crossbred stock. With a mixed dog you never know exactly what you are getting. Remember that one of the most important characteristics of the fila is their extreme gentle devotion to their family...it is quite unlike anything you've ever experienced with another breed. With a crossbred you may miss out on this - definitely not worth it! Being owned by a true Fila Brasileiro is an awesome experience, and one that a crossbreed will never approximate. lot of thought to their litters and spare no expense in caring for the
bitch and pups don't make as much profit per pup as the large commercial
kennels who have "dollar cost averaging" working in their favor.
